It Is Ok To Be Broken

Be gracious to me, God, according to your faithful love; according to your abundant compassion, blot out my rebellion. Psalms 51:1

First of all we are wicked, we are all sick. I am just as broken as you and you are just as broken as me, this world is broken because of sin and only made righteous by the blood of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yehoshua which means YHWH the Lord is salvation. This is who is revealed by God in Christ. The Messiah means the anointed one.

This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent — Jesus Christ. “I have revealed your name to the people you gave me from the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. John 17:3‭, ‬6

Who did Jesus Christ reveal? God gave his name to Moses I Am YHWH. The Lord. Which name did Jesus Christ reveal? HIS OWN! The Lord is salvation.

Jesus is going to the cross. As soon as this John 17 prayer finishes he is arrested. Look at the last thing he says to the 11 before he prays.

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” John 16:33

You what? YOU, WILL HAVE TROUBLE. You will have suffering, you will have sickness, you will lose loved ones. Things will go pear shaped, the unexpected will happen. Do we go to church to feel good? To sing songs about what God does for us? For me? I expect a feeling in church? Or, do we go to church to WORSHIP our great God? Do we take communion to be forgiven so we can carry on doing as we please, chasing good feelings or. Do we take communion because we are broken rebellious people and we need to acknowledge the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ was so enough that we need to leave ourselves at the cross, deny ourselves! Pick up up our cross and follow him. Die at the cross, Paul says I die daily 1 Corinthians 15:31. Is that it? We die?

Did Christ stay dead or was he resurrected? Follow him to the cross, he died but he was raised from the dead and he’s still living, still moving. So keep following into life!

Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:10‭-‬11

Right, so that is the gospel. How do we respond? Remember John 16:33 you will have trouble. Expect to suffer. Look at Peter and Paul after they received the holy spirit and preached Jesus Christ. They were arrested and beaten. Their response?

So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. Acts 5:41, and more …..
For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, Philippians 1:29
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2‭-‬3
You rejoice in this, even though now for a short time, if necessary, you suffer grief in various trials so that the proven character of your faith — more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire — may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6‭-‬7
Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding — because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin — in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will. 1 Peter 4:1‭-‬2
And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3‭-‬5
Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16‭-‬18
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Psalms 51:8

Is this what we are seeing in our churches? The next piece I’m doing is discipleship, but are we discipling Christians or are we staying in the good feelings of early Christian walk? ARE WE WILLING to suffer for the sake of the sake of the gospel. For Christ Jesus? So you know that God is near a broken heart, that he blesses those poor in spirit?

The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. You will not despise a broken and humbled heart, God. Psalms 51:17
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. Matthew 5:3

So.. Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalms 55:22

Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is nearly over, and the day is near; so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk with decency, as in the daytime: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to gratify its desires. Romans 13:11‭-‬14

Let us not remain comfortable in our churches. Let’s be a people willing to suffer for the gospel. Let us not move away from scripture but be honest and willing to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5, be ready and expect to suffer for Christ. Not going to church chasing a good feeling but to worship our creator. Not putting up with watered down Christianity but as a Christ centred, bible people. Authority based church.

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord, because the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of the body. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives are to submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, since we are members of his body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church. To sum up, each one of you is to love his wife as himself, and the wife is to respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:22‭-‬33

This is not a chauvinist thing this is the truth of God. Put Christ as the head always. We should not be offended by the word and if we are, there is a problem and we must bring that issue to Christ and, or a friend, Pastor ect. But there are many small things creeping into Christianity. I’m struggling to worship with modern worship music. The lyrics aren’t centred on glorying and worshipping God and what is with playing a loud chorus and teetering our softly? Isn’t that what the world does? No, but let us sing powerfully and joyfully to our creator! The songs are too soft and lovey dovey, I am a MAN of God, not a woman of God. There is a difference have we noticed? This is a deliberate design by the creator, all life is precious to God. This progressive Christianity where we can’t offend anyone and become so easily offended NEEDS TO STOP!!

This world is fallen, this world is broken. We are just passing through this world. Rejoice that your name is written in the book of life. We will groan in this temporary life. Looking forward to eternity with God in heaven.

For we know that if our earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands. Indeed, we groan in this tent, desiring to put on our heavenly dwelling, since, when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 2 Corinthians 5:1‭-‬4

So, staying in 2 Corinthians. Read Romans chapters 7 and 8.. look at it in the context that Paul had been a Christian for 20 years when he wrote Romans, the guy who wrote half of the New Testament! Look when he says what a wretched man I am! Then we’ll look at how 2 Corinthians finishes!

For if I want to boast, I wouldn’t be a fool, because I would be telling the truth. But I will spare you, so that no one can credit me with something beyond what he sees in me or hears from me, especially because of the extraordinary revelations. Therefore, so that I would not exalt myself, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to torment me so that I would not exalt myself. Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times that it would leave me. 12:7-8

Now this seems a perfectly reasonable prayer right? We might ask the same thing! That is perfectly justifiable to ask our pain to be taken away. How does the Lord respond?

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. 12:9

Wow! Ok so, what is happening here? Paul is sharing his lesson with us! Let’s see how Paul responds!

For he was crucified in weakness, but he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, we will live with him by power the power of God. 2 Corinthians 13:4

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, THEN I AM STRONG!!
12:10

casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7

How did Christ die? How does Christ live?

How do I live by the power of God? Luke 9:23; I deny myself (my wants, my desires, my flesh) I pick up my cross (leave all my hurt and pain, struggles, grief at the cross. Each day) and follow Jesus (unto death and live in his life)

My eyes are always on the Lord, for he will pull my feet out of the net. Psalms 25:15

let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1‭-‬2

Remaining the vine John 15

This is one of the great texts in the entire bible and in one of the most fascinating chapters. As is John 6 and really John’s gospel is probably the most wonderful book with so much richness and depth, especially as it reveals the Torah and Tenach unlike any other. Is it a surprise then that John calls himself the disciple that Jesus loved? He doesn’t even use his name but he says this.

Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” John 21:20

John understood that Jesus was about to die and he couldn’t possibly be any closer. Was he actually trying to remain in Jesus? That is how John could write this. In Acts 4, John and Peter were said to be uneducated and untrained men. John still likely a boy at this time, wouldn’t write he’s gospel for 50 years. John clearly studied the Torah and Tanakh thoroughly to be able to write this. The passage is referenced a few times on the OT and likely from this Jacob said of Judah.

Binding his donkey to the vine, And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine, He washed his garments in wine, And his clothes in the blood of grapes. Genesis 49:11. Observe what is also said by the prophet Zechariah;

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; he is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. The bow of war will be removed, and he will proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will extend from sea to sea, from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth. As for you, because of the blood of your covenant, I will release your prisoners from the waterless cistern. Zechariah 9:9‭-‬11 CSB

Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. So the angel of the Lord spoke to those standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So a clean turban was placed on his head, and they clothed him in garments while the angel of the Lord was standing nearby. Then the angel of the Lord charged Joshua, “This is what the Lord of Armies says: If you walk in my ways and keep my mandates, you will both rule my house and take care of my courts; I will also grant you access among these who are standing here. “Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your colleagues sitting before you; indeed, these men are a sign that I am about to bring my servant, the Branch. Notice the stone I have set before Joshua; on that one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave an inscription on it” — this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies — “and I will take away the iniquity of this land in a single day. On that day, each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree.” This is the declaration of the Lord of Armies. Zechariah 3:3‭-‬10 CSB

sit on his throne and rule. There will be a priest on his throne, and there will be peaceful counsel between the two of them. The crown will reside in the Lord’s temple as a memorial to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen son of Zephaniah. People who are far off will come and build the Lord’s temple, and you will know that the Lord of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen when you fully obey the Lord your God.” Zechariah 6:11‭-‬15 CSB

Word Study; αἴρω – Transliteration: airó
To raise, lift up, take away, remove. Seems to mean to remove sin.

καθαίρω – Transliteration: kathairó
To cleanse, purify, prune. Basically the purpose is to make holy.

καθαρός – Transliteration: katharos
clean, pure, unstained, either literally or ceremonially or spiritually; guiltless, innocent, upright. Basically made holy or righteous.

Jesus who is actually at the mount of Olives with grape vines surrounding them. He is simply stating what men actually do to fruit tree’s. Our flesh is a problem as clearly stated in Romans 8 and Galatians 5. God will cut away our bad behaviours but even when we are doing good and producing good fruit, he still prunes so that we produce even more fruit. This is why Job was tested, Jesus tested in the wilderness. Bad things happen to good people because we are not God but flesh.

Why does he do this? To help us to live by faith.

Why does God allow suffering?

Why does pain exist, why do we suffer. If God is a loving God shouldn’t he protect me from harm? Ask yourself, what are the rich good looking people who grow up without any trouble? Are they happy? Do they have great character or are they incredibly shallow? That is basically the answer. How can we grow without challenges? Do these same spoilt kids need to turn to God? So why should a broken person turn to God? Let’s have a look at the bible, starting with the life of Job.

We need to often be humbled to turn to Christ, Peter sinking in the water after walking on it “Lord save me” In the beatitudes, the first one is God blesses the poor in spirit, Matthew 5:2. Poor as in a begger, God actually wants us to come like this.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

Job’s trials;
His wife said to him, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!” “You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said. Job 2:9‭-‬10

Job says this after all he went through.

I had heard reports about you, but now my eyes have seen you. Job 42:5

Ask those apostles what pain is like?

For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are engaged in the same struggle that you saw I had and now hear that I have. Philippians 1:29‭-‬30

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding — because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin — in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will. For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry. 1 Peter 4:1‭-‬3

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2‭-‬4

When trials come. If we turn to God instead of sex, porn, chocolate, TV, friends, alcohol ect. If when it’s hard we learn to seek God. This will produce endurance. When we can endure by seeking God first, we build godly character and this is what gives us hope to keep going, which will not disappoint because we are being led by faith.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9‭-‬10

Why Easter?

An explanation and history on why Christians celebrate Easter and why Christ didn’t actually die on Good Friday. No it’s not from pagan roots. (Where the actual word Easter comes from is a little more tricky) But the Christians celebrated the Passover on the resurrection day.

Easter is what the early Christians called Pesach (Hebrew) Pascha (Greek) or Passover. Focus on the resurrection, they celebrated first Sunday after the Passover. Not wanting to take on the Jewish custom of the Passover on the 14th of Nison, they chose the Friday to celebrate the crucifixion.

This has seemingly led to a lack of biblical understanding of what Christ did on the cross at the Passover. Originally celebrated on the 14th day of the first month, Nisan. Somehow it appears to have been changed to the 15th of Nisan which is actually the first day of the 7 day festival of Unleavened Bread, this first was held in Egypt recorded in Exodus 12. An overview of Israel’s feasts is recorded in Leviticus 23.

The Lord God YHWH appeared to Moses and had him go to Pharaoh and say “Let my people go so we may worship the Lord God in the wilderness” after 9 plagues, Pharaoh still was hardened.

So the Lord said, recorded in Exodus 12. Take a lamb or goat from the first year without blemish. Kill it and eat it (Remember Christ saying this is my body given for you) paint the blood of the lamb on the door posts of your houses and when the angel comes he will destroy every first born male in Egypt. But when he see’s the blood (This is my blood of the new covenant) he will “Pass over” That house and spare those sons. So Israel did this and Pharaoh let them go and they went and Moses parted the sea 🌊

This is important to remember when we celebrate Good Friday as the Lord didn’t die on a Friday (The Christians chose that day remember)

Matthew 12:39‭-‬40 He answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

So Jesus Christ is our Passover lamb. Sacrificed so we would be covered by his blood, the blood of the lamb for the forgiveness of sins. Raised on the third day, Sunday. So we could have new life by his spirit.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new unleavened batch, as indeed you are. For Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old leaven or with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Spiritual Blindness …

I enjoy helping people with the spiritual gift of teaching blessingly given to me by God. I enjoy helping the young people at bible school and the men in Teen Challenge. I enjoy helping people online and on Facebook. I used to argue but the Lord told me to stop!

Especially on Facebook there are a lot of ill-informed people that is hard to convince by simply unpacking the scriptures with them. Weird beliefs like keeping the Sabbath specifically on the Saturday. That Jesus name cannot be Jesus it has to be Yeshua.

But it is by faith. There has to be a changed life, a change in the heart. The Holy Spirit has to come in and he guides us to all truth.

but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:9‭-‬10

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
Galatians 5:1‭-‬6

We cannot be saved by works. We cannot be saved by keeping the law. If I wake up and go to the toilet, make a coffee (Don’t talk to me before I’ve had coffee) if I kiss my wife. Have I not broken the first commandment before the day even starts?

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Works are a result of faith in Christ, being led by the Holy Spirit. We naturally do good as we walk in the will of God. Following what He has for us not asking God to bless what we do!

The love of Christ compels us. 2 Corinthians 5:14

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8‭-10

So there remains closed eyes. You cannot see because your eyes are not spirituality dicerning the word of God

But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:14

We are not God and we cannot know his word except by the Holy Spirit

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9

Come to God as a poor, lowly, broken person. Only when we are poor in spirit can we see God. Job after his sufferings said this

“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”
Job 42:5‭-‬6

Always come to God poor in spirit, like a beggar, completely in need of Him.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:3

What did Jesus ask the blind man in Mark 10:51? “What would you like me to do for you?” He doesn’t heal him until the man says “that I may receive my sight”

Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free! Amen? God bless.

Why is God invisible to us?

I look at creation, the ocean, galaxies far away, tiny molecules. There is PROOF of design everywhere in everything if we look deep enough. But why does God hide himself? This is the fun part and what I

And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:10 NKJV

It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.
Proverbs 25:2 NLT

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
Romans 1:20 NKJV

But why conceal the truths of His creation? Why is it not plain to see for everyone?

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29 ESV

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Ephesians 3:8‭-‬9 KJV

God knew we would not believe, He has hidden Himself in creation so we will search, as we do all over the world. For the truth.

I have much more to say to you, but right now it would be more than you could understand. The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen.
John 16:12‭-‬13 CEV

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?”
Romans 11:34 ESV

Behold, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him? Who has prescribed for him his way, or who can say, ‘You have done wrong’?
Job 36:22‭-‬23 ESV

Consider this next time you see the stars, glorious sunset or the hills and valleys. Look at creation and consider a God who created it all!

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord . For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9 ESV

Bible interpretation. Can we trust the Bible?

I am not that interested in theology or Christian doctrine. I am interested in the truth and authority of the Bible! This is life to me and only with God’s living word will I use. Don’t trust what I say. Check for yourselves

but test everything; hold fast what is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 ESV

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1 John 4:1 ESV

All Scripture is breathed out by God
2 Timothy 3:16 ESV

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 ESV

This next scripture, in John 6. One of the most remarkable chapters in the Bible. Jesus had just shown fed the people with multiplying bread as God did for Israel in the wilderness.

Then He says this, the most remarkable statement “I am the bread of life”

Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
John 6:32‭-‬33‭, ‬35 ESV

Then his sermon continues and Jesus goes on to say, what’s I believe is how scripture is to be interpreted. And that is by his Holy spirit (Remember, test all things)

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63 NKJV

Yes the Bible can be taken literally because it is truth and God cannot lie (Titus 1:2) but all of the parables, the imagery in the OT, the living word we just read in John 6. The Bible, by the Holy spirit

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 14:16‭-‬17‭, ‬26 NKJV

The Bible should be interpreted by us today? The Bible interprets the Bible. Scripture interpreters scripture (This probably needs it’s own post) But I want you to see that YOUR LIFE is hidden in the Bible. Joy for you to search it!

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the Lord ! Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together.
Isaiah 31:1‭, ‬3 NKJV

This is why Christ entered Jerusalem on a donkey and not a horse. In scripture: Egypt is the world, horses are flesh (Our own desires mental and physical) and not spirit (Spirituality is to obey God)

The spirit of God or the Holy spirit (not a person, we are people) in scripture is imagery as: a dove, water, donkey, wind, breath. Israel is spirit, Egypt is world

This is why God brought the Jews (and us) out of Egypt and into His own eternal kingdom (Through the blood of the land, the Messiah, Jesus Christ)

Want to know what something on the Bible means or what that dream you had means? Search the scripture. Let scripture interpret scripture! The Psalms are a great source of imagery

The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalm 19

Firstly this site will I hope only prove the existence of a creator God and show as I believe, that the Bible is scientifically accurate. Of course it is right?

Science says that what they call dark matter and dark energy, which cannot be seen or proven. Make up 85% of everything in the universe. That dark energy holds everything together. Look what it says of Jesus in the Bible

And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:17 ESV

This next scripture from the book of Job, written 4000 years ago. Well before any telescope.

“Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the belt of Orion?
Job 38:31 NKJV

We now know thanks to science that the Pleiades are gravitationaly bound!

We also know that the stars in Orien are from different galaxies, meaning they are moving away from each other. Eventually Oriens belt will not only be loosed, but unrecognisable!

If scientific statements like this are proven 4000 years later to be accurate, we can surely begin to trust everything the Bible says?
